Dear Faithful Adorer,
First of all, thank you for being a Faithful Adorer! We couldn't have this ministry without your commitment to spend time with Jesus on a regular basis. We appreciate you and Jesus appreciates you even more! For the Thanksgiving holiday, there WILL BE adoration on Wednesday through to Thursday at 6:30am. There WILL BE NO adoration on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
For the week of Christmas and the week of the Solemnity of Mary (Jan. 1), there WILL BE adoration on Monday through to Tuesday at 6:15am. There WILL BE NO adoration the rest of the day on Tuesday (Christmas Eve and the eve of the Solemnity of Mary). There WILL BE NO adoration on Wednesday (Christmas Day and the Solemnity of Mary). Adoration will resume on Friday (Dec. 27 and Jan. 3) after the 8am Mass.
When there is a service (funeral, wedding, holy day Mass, etc.) in the main body of the church while adoration is going on in the chapel, it is very important that you continue to stay in the chapel and not leave Jesus alone. HE MUST NEVER BE LEFT ALONE WHEN HE IS EXPOSED IN THE MONSTRANCE. If you want to receive Holy Communion, you may leave the chapel to receive, but then please go back to the chapel to resume adoration.
If you are finished with your adoration hour but the next adorer has not yet come, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE JESUS ALONE. It is very important that you stay until the next adorer comes. If you need to leave, please call the next adorer(s) to see if they are coming. You can see each adorer's phone number under their name button on the kiosk. If you can't get ahold of anyone, call your day captain (Monday - Maria Kilmer 636-541-0231; Tuesday & Wednesday - Annette McGarrahan 636-293-5278; Friday & Saturday - Kathleen Englert 636-279-0379).
As of January 1, we will move to using only the kiosk to sign in. We will only use the sign-in book if the kiosk is not working. If you are not already using the kiosk, please try it out. It's very easy - all you have to do is tap your name and you are signed in! It takes less time than to write your name in the book. This will help us keep better track of all the adorers who are showing up. Please let your day captain know if you would like to meet with them to learn how to use the kiosk.
Please let me know if you have any questions. And thank you again for being a Faithful Adorer!
God bless,
Annette McGarrahan
